brown-orange-gray dolomitic oolitic layer of Johnny3 formation. Small step-like exposure <50 m. consistent with strike/dip of 174. rock is dissected by linear cuts. Other samples taken including concentric zones from a shale layer just under 173 but towards 174 showing potential Leisengang bands. Small palm-sized sectional float of oolitic limestone that cleaves the oolites nicely (at least three layers). Sample 173 was taken directly out of bedrock and shows surface exposure and depth to about 10 cm.
