| Description: | One baby clam ~ 1 cm diameter clear white, one spongy type of sessile with a large foot redish orange. Some small pieces of coral dirty white ~ 1/2 cm length. Wormlike creature sand color, sticking out from the rock, one calcareous worm structure pure white ~ 2 1/2 cm. Several rocks had quite a lot of deposited fecal matter in worm shapes. One other wormlike looking feature along the rock very thin and grey ~ 2 cm length. Depth range 1300-1850 m. Satfix 06:59:27Z 029 degrees 06.60' N 173 degrees 58.14' W. basalt, some slabs cum botryoidal top Mn crusts & granular on bottom side of slab volcanoclastics, some uncoated basalt, weathered basalt cum crusts varying from a few mm to ~ 3 cm. |
