WR 39-2 subsampled by KN.Pillow basalt fragments with glassy rinds. 39-1 is tubular shaped and has glass with pahoehoe texture over complete outer surface in many areas, with thick rind (~1 cm) and having a coating of brown Mn oxide. 39-2 and 39-3 more weathered with thinner glass rinds. Phenocrysts of olivine and plagioclase (~1 to 5%) occur in glass and whole rock (some glomerocrysts). Type 1 of this dredge? |
