| Description: | Only four pebbles recovered; these were in pebble dredges. The large dredge contained ~ six pounds of muds. This is being washed to recover mineral sand. Rock types obtained were quartz schist, pelitic schist (?), basalt and serpentinitized periodtite. Sizes: (5x4x2 cm), (5x3.5x2 cm), (3x3x2 cm) (1.5x1.5x1.5 cm) respectively. Also mud was washed with dilute HCL and heavy minerals were collected. - 5 sampled for thin section and geological analysis. |
