| Description: | About 1600 lbs. of rounded rock fragments, up to 60 cm in diameter no fresh surfaces which would indicate rocks being broken off of bedrock exposures, so fragments are probably float. Rock types include semi-consolidated clay, both calcareous and non-calcareous, metamorphosed (and possibly serpentinized) clay, breccias, basalts, well weathered feldspars (gypsum?) blackish-green fine-grained igneous rock with high % of quartz and fine -grained and coarse grained igneous rock (unidentifiable). Most of the samples are well weathered and many have a coating of manganese. |
