| Description: | The bioelement consists of several siliceous sponges, a couple of spongin sponges and 1 starfish. There are also a few small pink species that could not be identified, they may possibly be some type of worm. There are several large pieces of rock and many smaller pieces the size of pebbles. They are mostly volcanic ash in the form of palagonite. A few of the small pebbles may be basalts. The remainder of the rocks are probably ice rafted and consist of a gneiss that appears to have glacial striations on it and several sedimentary rocks. The sedimentary rocks include sandstone, shale and dolomite. On several of the rocks there are calcareous worm burrows and marks where sponges may have been attached. |
