| Description: | 24 pieces total. 9 fragments of semi-consolidated coquina, consisting of shell hash (occasionally rounded and polished), benthonic foraminifera, and calcareous tubules, worn echnoid spines, bryozoan fragments, and corallites. Rare 9 worn cobbles composed of calcareous burrow tubules and embedded biogenic detritus. One appears to be partially overgrown by a finely burrowed coral or bryozoan remnant. 4 shells (pelecypod). Two are highly burrowed: one is recent (pectin) and only slightly burrowed; and one (similar to a 12 cm pecten) has outside of valve overgrown and burrowed by organisms secreting. Calcareous tubules. 2 corals. One recent and one worn and burrowed. |
